Welcome to your new podcast studio in Hackney Wick
Trowbridge Talks at Trowbridge Gardens is a state-of-the-art podcast studio, equipped with 4 stations, mixers, computer, large screen and all that you need to produce and record your own podcast.
A community-driven podcasting studio dedicated to everyone and everything local, but also open to everyone willing to start their journey on the podcasting universe.
We invite you to talk and we hope that many will listen!
Podcast Studio Prices:
Monday to Friday - From 10 AM to 5 PM
£40 per hour, with a minimum of 1h booking
Monday to Friday - From 5 PM to 9 PM
£60 per hour, with a minimum of 1h booking
Weekends: Not open for bookings
Hackney Local Offer: until the end of the year, we are offering a taster session free of charge for Hackney local people, groups businesses and projects to use it for community-focused activities, from conversations about the Hackney area with the people living nearby to thematic podcasts about the past, present and future of the neighbourhood. The taster session is up to 3 hours, needs to be booked in advance and is subject to availability.
Please ensure to bring your own USB.

Podcasting formally is ‘the preparation and distribution of audio files’. It is just like an online radio station, but one where you need to tune into a specific station, then you can listen on multiple platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Audible and many more.
The podcasting studio is the place where you can record yourself and others talking, upload it onto the web and distribute to the platforms for others to listen.

Maybe you would like to talk about a topic that you are passionate about, read aloud that new book you’ve written, comment on things you saw, interview local artists and founders, or have a conversation about the past, present and future of Hackney Wick. Podcasting is for everyone
We will not ask you to share your content with us, however Arbeit has an inclusive policy and if we notice a breach of our policies, we can prevent you from using the facilities at our discretion at any time without prior notice. Furthermore, we have no responsibility and have no liability over any content being produced at the facilities.

It may seem complicated, but be reassured we have both text and video based guides for you to follow, which includes everything from turning on the equipment - to uploading your first clip… and if you need further assistance we will host training and induction days for you to attend too.

Until the end of the year, we offer the studio for a free taster session. The offer is for local people and local groups (with a proof of address). This taster session is up to 3 hours at agreed times, during working hours. You will need to book in advance and will be subject to availability.
