OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS, DESIGNERS AND MAKERS

Open Call for Artwork: Celebrating Creativity in Church Street

Address: 66 Church Street, London, NW8 8ET

Deadline for submissions is Monday 21st October 2024 at 12:00 BST

We are looking for local artists, designers and makers living near Church Street, NW8, to submit works to be exhibited in the new Triangle Gallery, as part of the launch event of the Triangle spaces. As we are looking to celebrate the local area’s talent, all creative artwork is welcome for submission and free to apply.

Arbeit Studios are delighted to announce a new studio site in partnership with Westminster City Council in the heart of the Church Street Triangle. The space is for local creatives, Enterprise and Community, and is part of the Church Street Regeneration. Triangle Studios will be home to 11 studios and the Triangle Gallery; where focus will be to celebrate the local creatives in the area.

To coincide with the opening of both the studios and gallery, we are looking to display local artists, designers and makers' work, on display until next year. Applications will be accepted from people living and working in the area, as well as people who used to live in the area, or that are affiliated to Church Street and the vicinity. Whatever you may create, from painting to carpets, then we would love to hear from you.

All forms of visual creative works are welcomed including sculpture, design, crafts and fashion. We might be able to exhibit more than one artwork from the same artist depending on the size of the work and number of submissions. Once all submissions have been received, a curatorial theme will be chosen to assist with selecting the artwork. The works will be selected by a curatorial team composed of the Arbeit Studios team.

Other selection factors may include; quality of work, size of artwork (limited wall space and whole area is 5mx5m), and media.

Exhibition Dates are currently 1st or 2nd week of November 24 to January 25 ( TBC). Deinstall dates will be planned 2 days after the exhibition closing.
